leaving will tear you down

yesterday was a good day for some reason. well not for some reason i suppose... because i know exactly why. i was just surprised it was such a good day.

work went well... wasnt too annoying or stressful. just sort of relaxed. after work i watched a couple justice league unlimited episodes & ate a burrito. tinkered on the Wii a bit, tried rayman which was ok... but i think it will be more fun with 2 people. i have 3 wii remotes, but only one nunchuck. 2 more are on the way from nintendo right now. fun will be had when they arrive.

around 730 i went over to dale's house, shortly thereafter cari met up with us. dale and i played an awesome lord of the rings board game. i really want to buy it this next paycheck or when my half.com sales are deposited one of the two.

the bunnies are being really funny today. whenever i opened the pen up they get all hoppy. although i did just have to break up a herman/maisy fight. i dont know why they have little tiffs all the time. now maisy is cleaning herman, now herman is cleaning maisy, whats their problem. what weirdos.... fight, then clean eachother

from cari: LOTR 2007 calendar, this is really cute and thoughtful. also got me the lord of the rings trilogy box set. older versions w/a map in the back of each book, a beautiful gift.
from myself: justice league animated series volume 1

-agenda for xmas day: read lotr (finally), i was in the midst of the silmarillion. but i think it will be easier to read and take in that, if i read lotr first.
-hook up the VCR my mom gave us, booyah! can finally watch lady and the tramp!

just a quick note to the people of LJ land. RUSH is the only band that matters. but if i had to pick another it would probably be neurosis, don caballero is up there, too

madison was magnificent!

the car was acting really weird on the way down, the right turn signal would remain active despite the turn signal control's positioning. luckily im a genius and figured out how to fix it!

goodwill was unbelievable! a great way to start the day. i found philip k dick "do androids dream of electric sheep" paperback for 1.50 & jrr tolkien "the silmarillion" 1977 edition hardcover for 5 dollars. wow. cari found some amazing book she was excited about as well... 5 bucks, along with some ornament. ian found zilch.

preplayed was next on the trip. cari found adaptation so she was pleased. i picked up terminator 2 metal slipcase version. been lookin for that!

we had to park on the top level of the parking ramp because of the silly badger game, no biggie. i took my cds into cd exchange while cari went to urban outfitters and ian went to the chazen. found a lot of cool stuff there, great used cds store. he took about 25% of my stuff and gave me a very generous amount of trade/cash. picked up: melvins "houdini", fugazi "red medicine", and ahleuchatistas "what you will".

walked across the street to urban outfitters. cari had fallen in love with this bag that was on mega sale so she picked that up. i bought this cute "labbit".cari has another version of that one. with differnt fun things to put on his face.

we met back up with ian and went back to the cd exchange where i picked him up the steve reich "retrospective" 5 disc box set as an early xmas present. cool stuff. walked up to the parking ramp to drop off all of our new purchases. i then grabbed everything i planned to sell at earwax while ian went on a crusad for ornaments & to check out the overture. at earwax i picked up high on fire "surrounded by thieves" and the melvins joe preston album on vinyl for seth. cool. earwax also took very few of my cds but gave me substantial trade in amount. nice.

met up with ian again & wandered around state street a bit looking the fun ornaments he had found. also visited a couple stores cari wanted to check out. spent some time in the Madison museum of contemp. art which is pretty cool. they actually had some steve reich scores that belonged to the person whose collection was on display. awesome.

headed back to the car & made our way to ella's deli. had the usual opene faced vegetarian swiss melt, great meal... very filling. then i discovered the pure beauty that is zanzibar chocolate. dark chocoalte ice cream on a tasty waffle cone. best ice cream EVER.

got home late, long day.

things have been busy but awesome lately. mouth of the architect records came and ive sent out about 430 so far, which isnt too shabby. enough to pay the pressing bill almost in full. cool.

the bunnies have been getting huge.

cari, ian and i are going to madison tomorrow. i pulled a bunch of old cds and crap to sell @ earwax. hopefully i get a little money for them. the guy there usually treats me really well.

i hate humans.

well... i got rid of my car today. i no longer have an automobile! it is almost as liberating as cutting up a credit card. eat crap, oil companies.

cari still has an automobile, so we will be able to get around.

the bunnies snooze a lot while i listen to max richter. snoozing, dreaming bunnies are so cute.

i do not want to work at a music distributor anymore. this job sucks, the people i work with on both sides of the phone drive me nuts. i do not enjoy doing what i do. i hate waking up in the morning (maybe this is why ive been sleeping until 1030 everyday?) all this job does is stress me out.

im thinking of getting a job with my dad at noffke lumber working in the lumber yard. it's like 2 miles away from here, and i could probably just get a ride to work with him in the morning. plus id make just as much starting as i do here after a couple years. on top of all that, home building supplies are a necessity in life, unlike buying music which is an indulgence.

i hate the music industry, i quit

things are going great with life right now. biking like 20+ miles a day on the trail is fantastic. not sure if i like it more with or without my ipod.

bunnies are all fixed up, no more humping! the three of them have been hanging out snuggling a lot lately. makes me really happy. the boys still have a little attitude, though.

im finally getting a handle on this three job thing, took a while... it's hard to balance all that time.

picked up arrested development season 1 (finally) and spongebob season 1 both used, 17.99 each. cant beat that.

oh yea, going to an early showing of superman returns tomorrow with cari, dale devries, and scott... this guy who runs the local comic book shop... where i may or may not begin spending lots of time and money.

i spent 29 dollars on comics on sunday, and it ruled. im SO back into x-men. astonishing xmen series RULES... its great that they have them compiled into graphic novels

bonnie prince billy/tortoise collab is WEAK. although all the other sweet stuff ive been scoring lately is not!

life is pretty amazing lately!
living with cari is very fun! our apartment is great
the bunnies are absolutely adorable, although the boys are going through that time in their lives when they think they dont need daddy :(

awesome bbq today @ chaz n dawn's house. ate a lot of food, played frisbee with a three year old and a couple other people. played like 14-16 hrs of xmen legends II on sunday. yes! three day weekend before i leave toledo = good for the soul... four day weekend this week as i move back to wisconsin = even better!

a great weekend...
-got into town wednesday, relaxed with cari. slept well.
-thur, cari worked on her paper which was all screwed up. but she finished it in time. i loaded things into dad's garage. we drove to appleton and returned her defective ipod for repair. ate at noodles, and bought me some pretty clothes and nice dress shoes. she studied and went to class while i ate with scott and derrick
-friday, alicia, cari and i went to beloit to see our future bunnies, and they are beautiful. we then drove to ikea, bought radical things, ate at olive garden.
-sat, hung out with dad a bit, went to wedding, left to drive back to toledo. drive was terrible, i could hardly stay awake.
-today i cleaned the kitchen and bathroom thoroughly since chris wells is gone until may 22. i am using his van to move my bed next weekend.


cari and i are going to start moving things into our apartment this weekend, along with the bunnies if all goes well.

i hope to sleep well tonight, i love lord of the rings.

things were really stressful today at work. but the day ended up being ok in the end. it was sunny which meant a nice bike ride (although windy!)

i saw the second draft of the A Scanner Darkly music video that will be on series dvd metal and hardcore volume 5 - this was pretty exciting, it's quite gross but entirely awesome. hopefully all the metalcore kids will vomit when they watch it, then buy the record and make me rich

the rest of the bunny toys and home things shipped! huzzah! im excited to get everything... especially the bunnies! i get to meet them on may 12th, i cannot wait.

all the paperwork came today to dissolve my llc in ohio and reincorporate in wisconsin, its about time. hopefully this will get all squared away soon.

time is winding down, 26 more days left before the move.

xmen 3 comes out in 25 days, pretty excited for that. i plan to go opening day whether wells n cody go or not.

in the meantime... this clip that appeared on the jay leno show on the 28th is pretty awesome, wish i wouldve been home to watch
